What is a home inspection?
A home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the readily accessible systems, components and general condition of a home. Home inspections are conducted by a home inspector who has the training and certifications to perform such inspections.
Once the inspection is complete, the inspector prepares and delivers to the client a written report of findings. The client then uses the knowledge gained to make informed decisions about their pending real estate purchase.
Some Important Things to Know About Inspections:
The home inspector describes the condition of the home at the time of the inspection BUT DOES NOT GUARANTEE FUTURE CONDITION, EFFICIENCY, OR LIFE EXPECTANCY OF SYSTEMS OR COMPONENTS.

Some Important Things to Know About Inspections:
- No home is perfect. It's not uncommon for a report to have multiple concerns.
- This is not a pass or fail. The inspection provides you with the information you need to decide to either buy the house "as is" or negotiate with the seller to fix things mentioned in the report.
- This is not a warranty. The report identifies issues found on the day of inspection and cannot predict problems that may arise a few months or a few days down the road.
